Our evolution, belief and mission statement.

Our evolution:
From focusing on Deficits to celebrating neurodiversity

Early in 2018...
  • We had an exhibition promoting diverse minds.
  • 9 real-life stories presented in the form of dolls (DORU DORU Handcraft Family™), highlighting their ups and downs in their personal growth journey.
Founded in 2019,
  • Stage Edu Net believes every child has the right to shine on their own stages.
  • We dedicated ourselves to equipping families, children, and professionals through trainings, helping children with special educational needs overcome challenges and live to their fullest potential.

In 2021,
  • We transitioned into a charity as accorded by section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112) (IR File No.91/17645), continuing our mission.
Over the years of hard work,
  • We recognized that focusing too much on special educational needs (or deficits) undermined children’s confidence and reinforced their identities with deficits.

In 2023,
  • While we were planning to address such dilemmas, we encountered and embraced the concept “neurodiversity” during a training in Cambridge.
  • We embraced the belief that neurological differences are variations, not disorders to be "fixed".
Moving forward,
  • We aim to raise awareness of neurodiversity to challenge misconceptions, empowering children to embrace their unique strengths and equipping families and professionals to support diverse needs.
  • By doing so, we strive to create a more just world where every child is celebrated.

Our belief

We believe that children can take charge of their stages when they can be given chances to learn in a way that suits them most. STAGE is an organisation which assists children to create their own stage and we are glad to provide the following support.

Our mission statement

We envision a society where every child is valued for their unique strengths, regardless of neurological differences.

families, inspire children, support educators, and collaborate with healthcare professionals, enabling every child to overcome challenges and embrace their individuality.
